Eastern Cape - 3 days
Safari Getaway

As an extension to the Garden Route, a number of the eastern Cape's excellent public and private game reserves house the 'Big Five', and at Addo Elephant National Park, the 'Big Seven' (whales and great white shark). This region of the Cape is dotted with remote little towns, many of which have seemingly remained the same as the day they were built.

 Highlights

  • Diverse landscapes and wildlife, including the ‘Big Five’.
  • Unique and spectacular fauna and flora.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Port Elizabeth
On arrival at Port Elizabeth Airport you will be met by a Thompsons Representative and transferred to your selected game lodge. This afternoon enjoy an open vehicle safari through the game park, before returning after sunset to a wonderful dinner served under the African stars.

Day 2: Eastern Cape Safari
We recommend that you enjoy an early morning and afternoon safari as the animals are most active during this time. The second largest of South Africa’s nine provinces, the diverse Eastern Cape landscape, ranges from the dry desolate Great Karoo to the steamy forests of the Wild Coast and the Keiskamma Valley.

Day 3: Depart Port Elizabeth
After your morning safari and your last opportunity to enjoy Africa’s wildlife, you will be transferred back to Port Elizabeth Airport for your onward journey.
